Beginner / quick start

For beginner users

Use the HOBL Installer to set up local web-browsing battery-life testing without cloning the repository. This is the fastest path for running an initial test.

This path does not create a local source checkout, so you will need to clone the HOBL repository later if you want to easily pull updates or submit pull requests.

Experienced users

For experienced users

Follow the repository-based setup for ongoing testing, hosted or lab environments, development, and contribution work. This path walks through cloning HOBL and preparing the host and device under test.
